KATHMANDU, May 11: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has completed preparations for the AFC Presidents´ Cup Group ´A´ qualifiers to be held at Dasharath Stadium from Thursday. [break]
Organizing a press conference here on Monday, ANFA joint secretary Dhirendra Pradhan said ANFA has formed nine sub-committees to conduct the tournament smoothly.
AFC fines ANFA over late kick-off in Asian Cup Qualifiers
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has already deployed referee, assistant referee, and match commissioner and referee assessor for the tournament.
Nepal Police Club (Nepal), Regar Tadaz (Tajikistan), Taiwan Power Company (Taipei) and WAPDA (Pakistan) are pitted in Group ´A´.
Two matches will be held per day under the league basis from May 14 to 18. The first match will be held at 1:00 pm and the other on 3:30 pm. The group winner from three groups each and a best runner up among all groups will qualify for the semifinal round.
Nepal Police Club will take on Taiwan Power Company (Taipei), WAPDA (Pakistan) and Regar Tadaz (Tajikistan) on the May 14, 16 and 18 respectively.
The AFC has provided $15,000 to conduct the tournament. Expected expenses for the tournament are put at Rs 3.8 million.
