AmCham Nepal completes member learning series at Hotel Aloft Kathmandu Thamel

KATHMANDU, July 2: The American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) recently concluded its member learning series at Hotel Aloft, a member organization. The event took place on Sunday evening, with American ambassador to Nepal, Dean R Thompson, in attendance.

KATHMANDU, July 2: The American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) recently concluded its member learning series at Hotel Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, a member organization. The event took place on Sunday evening, with American ambassador to Nepal, Dean R Thompson, in attendance.


Ambassador Thompson expressed his unwavering support for all US based companies investing in Nepal and help strengthen the economy of the country. "You are doing good work in Nepal. I am happy that an organization like AmCham has played a role in establishing a corporate culture in Nepal," he stated.

Hotel Aloft, situated in the Thamel area of Kathmandu, offers a variety of amenities to both domestic and international tourists. The hotel is part of the Chaya Devi Complex, which houses over 200 retail shops, cinema halls, salons, spas, restaurants, nightclubs, casinos, and more than 350 parking spaces.


The hotel features 167 rooms, including 88 king rooms, 42 twin rooms, two accessible rooms, 22 urban rooms, seven suite rooms, and six breezy suite rooms. Guests can enjoy access to the club lounge, transportation to the international airport, daily deluxe breakfast, happy hour in the club lounge, and high-speed Wi-Fi.


Hotel Aloft also provides venues for various events, including a tactical hall that spans 1,645 square feet and can be divided into two spaces, a large assembly hall of 8,700 square feet, an auditorium of 5,175 square feet, a pre-function area of 1,800 square feet, an outdoor bar area of 1,800 square feet, and a meeting space of 8,700 square feet. Additionally, the hotel has a large hall suitable for marriage ceremonies.


Amir Raj Thapa, general manager of AmCham, remarked that the member learning program promotes the 'cross-pollination' of American work culture among members. "We believe that this type of program by AmCham will set an example of American work culture in Nepal through our member companies," he said.
