KATHMANDU, April 26: Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan Tapas Adhikari, who is concurrently accredited to Turkey, presented his letter of credentials to Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan.


According to the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad,  Ambassador Adhikari presented his letter of credentials during a special ceremony held on Thursday at the Presidential Palace in Ankara.

During the ceremony, President Erdogan congratulated Ambassador Adhikari on assuming his new role and extended his best wishes to President Paudel and Prime Minister Dahal. He also expressed his hopes for the continued prosperity of Nepal and its people.


Following the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Adhikari held a courtesy meeting with President Erdogan. On behalf of President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, he conveyed well wishes for the personal happiness, good health, and ongoing progress of the people of Turkey.


In their discussion, Ambassador Adhikari highlighted the foundation of mutual trust and cooperation between Nepal and Turkey, emphasizing their collaboration in various international forums, including the United Nations, on matters of shared interest. He reaffirmed his dedication to fostering sincere efforts to further enhance the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Turkey. This statement was issued in a press release by the Embassy today.
