The fourth installment of Music by the Museum is all set to take the audiences on an extravagant musical ride. [break]
Put together by Hits FM 91.2 in partnership with House of Music, the two-hour-long show this time around has the blues/folk rock ensemble Mukti and Revival in the gig.
Shedding light on the music series, now in its fourth year, Hits FM’s Program Manager Mandira Dhungel shared, “The concert series was conceptualized to cater the best musicians that our industry has to offer. We started out with Deep Shrestha and 1974 AD in 2009, followed by Manose Singh, Nhyoo Bajracharya; and now it’s the taste of Blues with Mukti Shakya.”
Known for his infectious stage presence, Shakya will be accompanied by other musicians – Raju Shrestha on flute, Raju Maharjan and Prajwal Kansakar on percussion, Kiran Nepal on sarangi, Inap Shrestha on alto saxophone, and David Nicolas on trumpet.

Excited about the collaboration with musicians from outside his band, Shakya claimed that the show would be “a night to remember.”
“We’ve been practicing for over a month now, and the audiences are definitely going to have a great time,” claimed Shakya.
Agreeing with Shakya about the show being a pleasurable event for the audiences, Mandira herself elaborated on the reason behind the unusual artist collaboration.
“The music is what takes the center stage. We’ve catered Pop, Adhunik, Instrumental, Rock, and this time around, it’s a dash of Blues infused with folk sensibilities,” she said, adding “The two hours of music fest will be a feast, both aurally and visually.”
The tickets for the show are priced at Rs 1,000 each and can be purchased through Hits FM 91.2 at New Baneshwor, at the House of Music in Thamel, Moksh in Pulchowk, and Summit Hotel, Kupondole Heights.
