LETANG (Morang), Jan 29: Speaker Onsari Gharti on Saturday said all political parties should undertake the responsibility for holding elections so as to institutionalize rights established through various past movements.
She suggested addressing complaints and dissatisfaction that come with rights through consensus. She was of the view that Nepal adorned with various social cultures and custom should be made more beautiful by implementing the constitution.
"Daughters have won in the country as the constitution has safeguarded special rights of women for the first time," Speaker Gharti said while inaugurating 9th national general convention of Nepal Magar Students' Association.
Saying Nepal is rich in culture and language and also carries tourism potentiality, she viewed, "All our labors and sweats should be spent on the development and welfare of the country."
The three-day convention has been attended by 400 representatives from 62 districts across the country, informed Chairperson of the Association Dipa Ale.
The meeting will pick new 69-member working committee.
Meanwhile, before the inauguration, a float showcasing clothes, lifestyle and culture of Magar community was taken out going through the city. RSS
