KATHMANDU, July 5: All five persons infected with the pandemic H1N1 2009 virus, otherwise known as swine flu, have clinically recovered.

"The 17-month second son of the non-resident Nepali couple and another relative have recovered today (Sunday). But we have advised them to remain in isolation for another 2-4 days," deputy head of the Avian Influenza Control Project Dr Jitendra Man Shrestha said. [break]

Dr Shrestha said there have been no further cases of swine flu confirmed.

The five-year-old relative, who came in contact with the family here in Kathmandu, and the younger brother of the earlier infected eight-year-old boy were confirmed to have been infected last Sunday.

The US-based NRN family had arrived in Kathmandu from Washington via Doha on a Qatar Airways flight on June 21 for a vacation and was believed to have contracted the disease in Washington.

The couple and their eight-year-old kid, who were first confirmed to have contracted the disease, had recovered Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the government, which had set up helpdesks at Rani, Sunauli, Birgunj, Nepalgunj and Tatopani, will now put up additional ones at Kakarvitta and Kanchanpur. "We have set up helpdesks at the established checkpoints and these two to be set up are in line with that policy," Dr Shrestha added
