KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Alfresco Media and Event organized ‘Alfresco Open Art Exhibition and Competition 2017’ for pre-primary level to college level students to promote young artists at Nepal Art Council on Monday.
The exhibition aims to provide an open platform for youngsters. It officially began with the inauguration by Ambica Shrestha and the exhibition will be running until February 19.
More than 500 people participated in the exhibition which was organized to bridge the gap between generations through art. During the opening program, a performance art was also performed with the title ‘Impurity’ by Sundar Lama and the Sarbanaam Team.
Students and college level students were awarded on basis of their creative ideas.
Lisha Gaire of Public Youth Campus won the first prize in college level competition while Sanjay Shrestha (United Academy) and Dipesh Sijali Magar (Himalaya College) grabbed the second and third prizes respectively.
