Airfare in Surkhet-Kathmandu sector increases

BIRENDRANAGAR, June 22: The airfare in the Surkhet-Kathmandu route has increased. Airline companies have raised the fare by a minimum of Rs 500.


The minimum fare for Surkhet was set at Rs 6,500. However, airline companies have increased it by Rs 500, making it Rs 7,000. The current minimum fare is reported to be Rs 7,000.

Previously, Buddha Air had established a monopoly on fares, making them expensive, but after Shree Air started operating, the fares became more affordable.


In Surkhet, Buddha Air and Shree Air have been operating four flights daily in the morning and evening.
