SIMKOT (HUMLA), Oct 14: Humla, a mountainous district deprived of connection to the national road, has seen air service after three days at Simikot airport. The air flights were not conducted regularly for lack of passengers.
During major days of the Dashain festival, the airport remained idle.

Simkot Station Chief Chhiring Lama informed that the Tara Air and the Nepal Airlines conducted flights on Monday. The Tara Air had one flight and the Nepal Airlines two.
In addition to the passengers, the flights transported daily goods and construction materials.
"The tickets for Tuesday are already booked. Now, the number of passengers will rise gradually," Lama said, adding that the number of people leaving Humla are more than those entering the district.
The Simikot Airport Office said that the Sita Air and the Summit Air did not conduct any flight on Monday.
