KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Agitators demanding the withdrawal of the US government-funded Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) gathered outside the Federal Parliament building in New Baneshwar to protest against the project’s implementation. Various fringe communist parties led by Chandra Prakash Gajurel gathered near the parliament building, demanding the withdrawal of MCC.
Dozens of youths gathered at Baneshwar carrying black flags and Placards with messages such as “Save the constitution and NO MCC,” written on them. They also chanted slogans ``We don't want MCC, The country should not be sold, and political parties beware.``
The police had to use force to disrupt and take control of the agitating protestors, while some were arrested in the tussle.
