Likewise, the CC meeting will discuss the guidelines presented by the amendment of the regulations draft committee. The meeting will also review the first phase of its national awakening campaign.
The meeting that was planned for 2 pm on Sunday afternoon, failed to start on time due to the difference among party president Sher Bahadur Deuba, Ram Chandra Poudel and Krishna Prasad Sitaula on the issue of the general convention. Poudel and Sitaula warned to boycott the meeting if the party would not incorporate the issue of the general convention on the agenda list to be presented by the general secretary during the CC meeting. However, Deuba took a stance not to include the issue for the discussion in the meeting. But later in the evening, both factions were ready to discuss the preparation of the convention after which the meeting started at 7 pm. The next meeting is scheduled for July 12, Friday at 1 pm.
