Advanced Engineering College signs MoU with FCAN

KATHMANDU, Feb 19: Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN) amid a function held at Hotel Marriott, Naxal, on Friday.

Chairman of ACEM, Ramesh Kumar Silwal and president of FCAN, Rabi Singh, signed the agreement. The MoU highlights that both the organizations are willing to work together toward preparing the graduates aligned to the ever-changing needs of the industry, according to a press release issued by ACEM.

Silwal shared that this partnership will add a lot of value to students along with opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills through real construction work experiences. He also said that it is time we produced industry-relevant engineering graduates.

FCAN President Singh opined that this collaboration will expand the area of support to the students in a broader perspective in enhancing their learning and exposure through working on various real construction projects.

Kapil Dev Regmi, executive director of ACEM, expressed hope that this partnership will facilitate the effective utilization of the intellectual capabilities of both institutions, realizing the importance of meaningful collaboration between the industry and academia.

FCAN Vice President AD Lama spoke about the multi-dimensions of partnership and providing a platform to the Civil Engineering students of ACEM to gain practical knowledge in the field of construction.

Uddav Chaulagain, director at ACEM and ERMC, shared why academia should collaborate with industries and why it is important to support developing the competent future engineers within the country capable of doing construction work in the professional field.
