KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is set to host the Nepal Makeathon for Assistive Technology from February 16–18, at the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur. The event will bring together innovators, designers, and individuals with disabilities to develop assistive devices aimed at enhancing accessibility and independence.
The event will follow a participatory design approach, where individuals with disabilities, referred to as ‘need knowers’, will actively collaborate with designers to create assistive technologies tailored to their specific needs. This process ensures that the solutions developed are not only innovative but also practical and impactful.
