KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Prem Prasad Acharya, who attempted self-immolation in front of the federal parliament building in New Baneshwar, breathed his last on Wednesday.
Acharya, who was being treated at Nepal Cleft and Burn Center in Kirtipur Hospital, passed away today at 5:00 am, according to the hospital.
Acharya, a permanent resident of Ilam, set himself on fire at around 3 pm in New Baneshwar on Tuesday by pouring petrol on his body. The police had rescued and taken him to the hospital for treatment.
