KATHMANDU, May 30: In the month of Baisakh (i.e. mid- April to mid-May) 2082 BS, a total of 245 people lost their lives in road accidents.
According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, the fatalities included 185 men, 41 women, 13 boys, and 6 girls. Additionally, 719 people sustained serious injuries in these accidents.

In the month of Baisakh, a total of 4,565 vehicles were involved in road accidents. According to the Nepal Police, these accidents occurred in 3,049 different locations.
Motorcycles accounted for the highest number of accidents. Out of the total accidents in Baisakh, 2,566 involved motorcycles.
