"To be able to sit examinations four times a year -- and stay on course to qualify as finance professionals following April's earthquake -- is a part of a range of initiatives," read the statement issued by the global professional body. While it was able to help some student sit exams in other countries, many hundreds were affected, the association stated.
As an indicator of its strong commitment to Nepal following the earthquake, ACCA has appointed Kapila Amatya as its representative to provide assistance to its students, members and partners. This will include a Members Network, which will enable them to meet and put forward proposals for the future of the profession.
"I am delighted and proud to help ACCA and I am committed to providing support to ACCA's members, students and partners," said Amatya.
