NBBL, NCHL sign pact for interbank payment system

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Nepal Bangladesh (NB) Bank Ltd and Nepal Clearing House Ltd (NCHL) have signed an agreement for interbank electronic payment system. Issuing a statement, NB Bank said that its deputy general manager Surendra Bhusan Shrestha and NCHL's CEO Nileshman Singh Pradhan signed the agreement amid a ceremony held on Monday. As per the agreement, NCHL will provide its IPS to NBBL. "Under this system, NB Bank's clients will be able to debit or credit payment of another accounts of any bank and financial institutions who are the member of NCHL-IPS," the statement added.
