Police Inspector Meghraj Adhikari said that the accident took place when he fell off the motorcycle (Ba 9 Ba 638) while heading towards his office-- Animal Quarantine Office at Bhantabari in Sunsari.
The body has been sent to Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Hospital for a postmortem, added police. Chaudhary was chief of Bhantabari-based Animal Quarantine Office.
Meanwhile, a schoolteacher in Mugu died after falling from a cliff while heading to Sukadhik VDC in the district from the district headquarters in Gamgadhi.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Som Bahadur Thapa said that headmaster of Shivadev Primary School Shankar Karki, 52, died in the incident on Saturday night. It is said that Karki, a permanent resident of Kotdanda VDC-6 in the district, had come to the district headquarters to collect the salary. Police have recovered Rs 154,000 in cash from Karki. RSS
