"Why did Bijaya Gachchhadar not take part in the constitution building process despite party's claims that all the demands being raised by the Madhesi parties are fulfilled?", asked Chaudhari. The party should be serious in this regard and fulfill the unfulfilled demands.
The meeting has also decided to inform the Election Commission (EC) of Nepal in writing on the party's failure to conduct its general assembly on time.
The NC had conducted its general assembly five years ago. As per the provisions laid down in the new constitution, political parties have to conduct their general assembly within five years and inform the EC in wiring if they fail to conduct general assembly on time, citing special reason, and hold it within six months.
The meeting has also urged Prime Minister Sushil Koirala not to resign from his post until he attends the General Assembly of the United Nations.
