The private sector's umbrella organization has also called for seeking the way-out of the problems through negotiation and dialogue rather than resorting to bandha and strike.

It affects the progress of the country in a long term while such protest will also prove to be a counter-productive to the banda enforcers," the statement added.FNCCI has also said that the banda has been incurring billion of economic loss in the country. It has also put forth a demand with the government to ensure security to the industries and businesses. "We draw the attention of the government toward the possibility of loss in the economy in the lack of closure of industries during strikes. Thus, we demand complete security to the industries and the businesses," read the statement of the FNCCI.
FNCCI has also made an appeal with all concerned stakeholders to resolve the disagreement through dialogue and negotiation by immediately withdrawing banda and strikes.
According to an estimate, banda in a day can result an economic loss of around Rs 1 billion.
