83 candidates file nomination for 56 seats

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: 83 candidates have filed their nominations for 56 seats of National Assembly election slated for February 7. According to the Election Commission, 82 nominees have filed their candidacy from nine political parties from seven provinces.

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: 83 candidates have filed their nominations for 56 seats of National Assembly election slated for February 7.


According to the Election Commission, 83 nominees have filed their candidacy from nine political parties from seven provinces.

12 candidates filed nomination from province-1, 9 candidates from Province-2, 17 from Province-3, 12 from Province-4, 11 from Province-5, 12 from Province-6 and 10 from Province-7.


Only candidates from three parties CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Center) and Nepali Congress are in the field in Province-6 and Province-7 whereas in other five provinces, candidates from other parties have also filed their candidacy.
