NEA has said the powerhouse had to be closed for repairing a machine that was out of order lately.
"One machine in Kali Gandaki powerhouse was damaged for sometime. But to repair it we had to close down the other two machines as well which has led to the closure of the powerhouse itself for a week," Sher Singh Bhat, Director of the Systems Operation Department of NEA, said.
Bhat, however, added that load-shedding will resume back to two hours per day after a week.
Loadshedding down to 42 hrs a week
