8 injured in Manang jeep mishap airlifted to Kathmandu

LAMJUNG, Sept 6: Eight people who were injured in a jeep accident in Manag on Tuesday have been airlifted to Kathmandu in a Nepal Army chopper.

LAMJUNG, Sept 6: Eight people who were injured in a jeep accident in Manag on Tuesday have been airlifted to Kathmandu in a Nepal Army chopper.


Four seriously injured are undergoing treatment at Dhapasi-based Grande Hospital while those sustaining minor injuries receiving treatment at local hospitals of their choice, Police Inspector Arjun Gahatraj told Republica Online.

Santosh Shrestha of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City, Wangchu Sherpa of Sotang Rural Municipality-2, Mohan Gurung and Nabin Gurung of Sundarnagar Municipality-7, Lamjung were taken to Kathmandu in a Nepali Army helicopter.


Similarly, Prabin Gurung, Bigendra Gurung, Subhash Gurung of Sundar Bazaar Municipality-7 and Lekh Bahadur Khand of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 were airlifted to Kathmandu in a fishtail air.


A sexagenarian Nima Chhuma Lama died on the spot and 13 others sustained injuries when an ill-fated jeep, Ga 1 6315, heading to upper Manag met with the accident in Nesyang Rural Municipality-1 yesterday.
