Of them, the dead bodies of 8,664 persons have already been handed over to the deceased's respective families.
The death toll in the Kathmandu Valley stands at 1,729 while in Eastern region 57 persons are confirmed dead, while in the Central Region the number of dead stands at 6,453. The toll has reached 451 in the Western region with two dead in the Mid-Western region. In the Far-western region, no human casualty was reported, said police.
As per the update, the number of injured has reached 22,491. Of them, 4,655 are still receiving treatment at various hospitals across the country.
