A local had informed the police after seeing his body during morning walk. Police identified Saru on the basis of a chit found in his pant. Saru had left his office on July 25 without informing the office and it is not known where he had been in between.
Police inspector Jeevlal Chundali said Saru does not appear to have been murdered. He could have committed suicide by consuming poison but it could be confirmed only after the post-mortem, police said.
Police have already informed Saru´s family in Gothadi VDC-4 of Palpa about his death.
