Drinking water project bring cheer to 276 household in remote Myagdi

BABIYACHAUR, March 25: The completion of six drinking water projects in three VDCs in Myagdi district within a year has brought cheer to some 276 households in the remote settlements of the district.

As many as 1,527 people in Arman, Bhakimli and Darbang VDCs in the district have been benefitted with the completion of these drinking water projects.


People at Arman, Bhakimli and Darbang were often hit by drinking water crunch in the past in lack of reliable sources of water. Moreover, most of the existing drinking water projects constructed in these areas were already in dilapidated condition.

The newly built drinking water projects in these areas were constructed by the District Development Committee, Myagdi with the financial support from the government of Finland under the West-Nepal Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Project.

According to Gambhirman Gurung, an engineer with the Drinking Water Project in the locality, these projects were constructed at the cost of approximately Rs 16.2 million. RSS
