KATHMANDU, July 6: Seven crew members including three pilots of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) have tested positive for COVID-19.

Archana Khadka, spokesperson for NAC, confirmed the infection in three pilots and four crew members on Monday. The airline has been operating multiple numbers of international flights to bring back home Nepalis stranded in foreign countries. The infected crew members are said to have been involved in evacuation flights from different countries.

“Our crew members are quarantined and sent back to work only after PCR tests,” she told Republica Online. “Hotels are being used as quarantine facilities for the crew members.”
