7 hydropower companies received licenses in 3 months to produce 115.89 MW of electricity

KATHMANDU, July 26: A total of seven hydropower projects with a capacity totaling 115.89 MW received feasibility study licenses in the past three months.

KATHMANDU, July 26: A total of seven hydropower projects with a capacity totaling 115.89 MW received feasibility study licenses in the past three months. 


According to the Department of Electricity Development, it issued licenses to the hydropower projects with capacity of 7.45 MW to 42.30 MW during mid-April to mid-July. Of them, Likhu Khola Hydroelectricity was the largest project with 42.30 MW.

Similarly, Snowfall Hydropower is taking forward a study to produce 29 MW of electricity. Kabeli Cascade Hydropower Project has targeted to produce 7.45 MW of electricity.
