KATHMANDU, Sept 26: The Steering Committee meeting of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) on Monday decided to provide an additional of Rs 100,000 grant for the earthquake victims to rebuild their houses, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sushil Gyewali informed.
With the decision, earthquake victims will get Rs 300,000 grant in a total. The meeting deiced to provide the additional amount by amending the work procedure after Rs 200,000 is distributed.
Now, the earthquake victims will get Rs 50,000 grant in the first installment, 150,000 in the second and remaining Rs 100,000 in the third installment.
The government has already decided to provide Rs 300,000 as an interest free loan for the earthquake victims.
