All bodies of missing Nepalis recovered

KATHMANDU, July 7: Bodies of all 30 persons including 12 Nepali workers who were missing in June 30 ship accident in the sea of Gulf have been recovered by Tuesday. The ship was headed for Doha, Qatar from Dubai, UAE.



Madan Kumar Bhattrai, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said all bodies of total 35 persons who went missing have been recovered by rescue teams. Bhattrai, however, said only bodies of two Nepali workers -- Shesh Nath Yadav of Mahottari and Tilak Bahadur Khamcha of Palpa, and one Indian national have been identified.



Remaining 10 Nepalis whose bodies have yet to identified are Ganga Bahadur Gurung (Dhading), Lila Ram Poudel (Baglung), Mehadi Hussain Miya (Bara), Awas Ahmed Shai (Banke), Man Singh Karki (Arghakhanchi), Ghanashyam Sarki (Nawalparasi), Rajiva Kumar Datta (Mahottari), Shankar Bista (Dang), Rishi Prasad Sharma Poudel (Parbat) and Jaya Bahadur Pun Magar (Rolpa).
