52 cricketers selected for U-19 Asia Cup in first phase

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: The U-19 cricket team selection committee has picked 52 players for the preliminary phase of training for the upcoming U-19 Asia Cup to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: The U-19 cricket team selection committee has picked 52 players for the preliminary phase of training for the upcoming U-19 Asia Cup to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. 



The selection committee comprising of ICC representative Venkatapathi Raju, national cricket team head coach Jagat Tamata, and U-19 coach Binod Das picked the players from talent hunt programs conducted across the country. The talent hunt programs were conducted in Biratnagar, Kathmandu, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi. The training camp will begin from Friday in the capital.



Out of 52 players, three players were selected from Biratnagar while nine players were selected from Kathmandu. Likewise, eight were picked from Bhairahawa while five players were chosen from Nepalgunj talent hunt program and 10 from Dhangadhi. Similarly, remaining eight players were chosen from the U-19 camp.
