KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Police have arrested two alleged cadres of Jwala Singh-led Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JMTT) from Akarbakar area of Raghunathpur village, Rautahat district during a raid on a house at 4 a.m., Wednesday. According to Nepal FM, the two arrested are Gopi Rawat and Uma Shanakr Yadav. During the raid that was conducted after a tip-off by locals, the police also allegedly seized a pistol and two bullets. The latest arrest comes after the JTMM, one of the most violent outfits in the Tarai, expressed interest to sit for formal dialogue with the government if their three jailed leaders were freed.
