President Dr Ram Baran Yadav releasing ‘50 years’ progress of Nepal’ on Monday at Sital Niwas in Kathmandu. A compilation of 50 golden hits of Nepali music composed during the past five decades was also released during the ceremony, which was held to mark the Golden Jubilee of Himal Iron and Steel Company, a part of Jyoti Group of Companies.
Similarly, the musical compilation includes 50 golden hits of Nepali music composed during the past five decades. Including classic hits from legendary Mitrasen Thapa to spiritual melody by Ani Choying, the album is the paragon of changing musical taste of Nepali listeners.
With the launch of the book and the musical album, President Yadav said, “Despite having political instability in the nation in the past few decades, I feel elated to see the gradual progress that the Nepalis industrial and musical sectors have made so far.”
