50 rounds of bullets seized from passenger at TIA

KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Police arrested a youth with 50 rounds of 9-mm bullets from the Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday.

During a security check at the airport, police found 50 rounds of 9-mm bullets in possession of Buddhi Hang Rai, 20, a resident of Jhapa district, confirmed the airport police.

“The arrestee was about to board a Shree Airlines flight to Bhadrapur,” said Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Nath Bastola, chief of airport police. The flight was scheduled to fly to Bhadrapur at 12.35PM.

The arrested has already been sent to Gaushala Metropolitan Police Circle for further investigation into the case.
