Three Days Furniture Company has taken hostage Najiv Ansari of Bishnupur-8, Salim Ansari and Mohammad Husein of Bishnupur-1 of Bara district, Keshbir Kami of Palpa Gothari and Dadiram Darji of Tehrathum Thoklung-3.
They had arrived in Malaysia for jobs three years ago.
Their contract had expired on May 6. The company took hold of them while they were preparing to return home after expiry of their contract signed with the company saying that the company is at staff crunch, victims told Republica.
With the expiry of their contract, the five Nepali migrant workers have now become illegal.
When the illegal workers in Malaysia are caught by police , they will be kept in detention center after serving three months jail term. Then, they will have to return home by managing tickets on their own.
According to Malaysian law, the employer has to provide return tickets to those employees who have worked for three years.
