All the children, who were sheltered at Helpless and Blind Conservation Center at ward number 15 of Pokhara were studying in grade 1.
The rescued children also includes a girl.
The rescue operation was led by Kaski Deputy Chief District Officer, Arjun Sharma.
Although the child home was registered, the District Administration Office of Kaski had never granted the permission for its operation, said Sharma.

“The child home was sheltering the children without acquiring formal permission from the District Administration Office. Moreover, the matter could have been considered if the children were given proper care and facilities but we found nothing like that,” added Sharma.
The team had monitored the child home a few days before making the raid, he further informed.
“When we first approached the child home, we were shocked to see the children living in a miserable condition. There were no basic facilities and the sight of children sleeping on the stairs was heart-rending,” said Sharma.
As most of the operators are blind, they were living under the same roof with the children. As for the financial support, they had to depend on the money earned from performing in various cultural programs on the roadsides.
Talking to Republica, chairperson of the child home Wakil Miya said that discordant relationship between the operators had created the mess.
“In the last few months, a void has been created between the operators after huge amount of money earned from cultural programs were misused. There is no trust between the shareholders,” said Miya. “Moreover, this failure is also due to their inexperience in this field.”
There are around 60 child homes in the district and they have been sheltering more than 1,400 children.
