Chitwan hospital to be relocated

CHITWAN, Sept. 4: The College of Medical Sciences, Teaching Hospital, is to be relocated from Bharatpur, Bageswori.



The Teaching Hospital which has been based at Bageswori of Devghat for the past 16 years has finally agreed to leave the land after criticism from different sections of the society.



The Hospital has requested for a time of three months in response to continued struggle by the Remove Medical College Struggle Committee formed under the leadership of Bageswori Adhyatmik Parishad.



In a meeting of stakeholders held at District Administration Office, Chitwan, the teaching hospital management agreed to vacate the forest area.



Chief District Officer Him Nath Dawadi said additional three months has been granted to the hospital for vacating the place.



The teaching hospital, which has been operated under the International Society for Medical College, has been managed by Indian investors.
