Power outage reduced by 7 hours a week

KATHMANDU, June 21: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has slashed the load-shedding duration to 42 hours from 49 hours a week effective from Thursday.



As per the new schedule, NEA will cut the power by seven hours for one day, six hours for five days and five hours for one day a week. [break]



Except for one day, there will be load-shedding twice daily.



According to NEA, the load-shedding hours were slashed following the rise in water levels in the rivers due to arrival of monsoon
