Ashish Adhikari, Sustainability Pyramid Trainer, explained the importance of compass which is a symbol of sustainability. He said, “N is for Nature, E is for Economy, S is for Society, W is for Wellbeing. If we can maintain these four pillars of society in a holistic manner we can achieve sustainable development in our country.”
In the five levels of the process of building the Pyramid, the first level emphasizes the importance of sharing information about the issue.
The next step is to think about the causes and then in the third level, address the issue and come up with new ideas to solve any problem. During the fourth level, a plan on the implementation of the new ideas needs to be formulated. The last level is about making a commitment to go ahead with the plan.
Stressing the importance of the involvement of youth in the paper “Calling Youth,” Ghanshyam Gurung, Conservation Director WWF; Juddha Bahadur Gurung, Member Secretary NTNC; Siddhartha Bajra Bajracharya, Executive Officer NTNC; and Surya Man Shakya, environmental analyst, called out to the youth to be a part of the conservation of resources of the country.
