Godrej hair color, Hit insecticides in market

KATHMANDU, March 23: Kedia Group - the authorized distributor of Godrej Consumer Products -- has introduced Godrej Expert Advanced and Godrej Expert Care hair colors and Hit brand of liquid insecticides in the Nepali market.



Organizing the annual meet in the capital, the company launched three products so as to give variety of choices to its customers. Godrej Expert Advanced is a powder which when mixed with water form a gel so that it is easy to apply and does not drip. [break]



Besides, its color lock formulation makes the color long lasting and it is perfumed and has hair conditioner as well, according to a company statement.



Similarly, Godrej Expert Care is herb-based hair color. “We´ve introduced herbal products as there are many health-conscious people who want to use organic product,” said Anirban Banerjee, Kedia Group´s associate vice president for international operations.







According to the company, both the products use exclusive formulation with nourishing conditioner that makes hair healthy and shiny. The products are ammonia free, have no odor during application and are safer for hair, the statement added.



Both the colors are available in the packet of 8 gram and is priced Rs 24.



Similarly, Hit is available in two colors: the red one for cockroaches and the black one for flies and mosquitoes. “We found Nepal a very good market for aerosols as Nepal is so far a coil-based market,” added Banerjee.



The red color Hit is available in the bottle of 320 ml and is priced Rs 190, while the black color Hit costs Rs 206 for a 320 ml pack.

Godrej Hair colors are safer for hair as they have been launched in the market after extensive research. Also they are available at cheaper price. Besides, we have been listed as No. 1 brand for the year 2011 by ACNielsen´s survey.



What are the marketing strategies for both Godrej hair color and Hit?



We are expanding our distribution network in the city areas as our products are mostly urban centric. We are also making a new TVC for hair color so that our products. For Hit, we are making the customers aware that it is an instant killer not a preventive formula like the coils.



Are there any products in the pipeline?



We are soon bringing GoodKnight low smoke mosquito repellent coil in the Nepali market. It will be available at Rs 42 and can be used for 10 nights and burns for 12 hours.
