NC to prepare proposal on TRC

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to prepare its proposal on the formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Disappearance Commission.



A meeting of the party´s Central Policy Orientation Academy held on Sunday decided to prepare the party´s proposal on the formation of the commissions in view of the ongoing three-party meeting. Krishna Sitaula, Ramesh Lekhak and Radhe Shyam Adhikari, among others, from the party´s “technical group” will discuss the issue. [break]



“The meeting has decided to take into account past agreements and prepare the party´s proposal by holding discussions with the party´s technical group,” said NC CWC member Badri Pandey.



The meeting also decided to hold a meeting of the academy in Itahari, Sunsari on March 6. NC has decided to hold such meetings at the regional and district level to give orientations to the party cadres on the party´s policy on issues related to the new constitution.
