Ian Martin arrives on two-week private visit

KATHMANDU, May 10: Former chief of United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) Ian Martin arrived in Nepal on Sunday morning on a private visit. A UN source said Martin´s visit was not related to UNMIN and any other political issues.



Martin is not scheduled to meet any political figure during his about two-week stay in Nepal. "Instead, he is planning to visit some Tarai districts as his private program," the source said, adding, "He is also planning to go for a trek."
