49 dead, 20 injured in monsoon-induced disasters in the last two days (Update)

In the past two days, 49 people died while 11 were injured in disasters which largely include the monsoon-triggered incidents in various parts of the country.

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: In the past two days, 49 people died while 11 were injured in disasters which largely include the monsoon-triggered incidents in various parts of the country. 



Similarly, 7 are missing in incidents related to flooding, landslides, lighting strikes and road accidents on Friday and Saturday.

In Ilam alone, the death toll– so far highest–is 28 while two have been severely injured, the Armed Police Force (APF) said. 


Similarly, two deaths in food and landslides have been reported from Udayapur, three from Rautahat, four from Rasuwa and one in Kathmandu. 


Eight were injured due to the lightning strikes in Khotang, Bhojpur, Rautahat and Makawanpur.


In Pachthar, six died in a road accident and six others have been injured.
