According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, the deceased Kaviram Khanal, 55, and Kashiram Khanal, 40, are from Magma VDC-9, and the other two Rato Khatri, 35, and Surjan Khatri, 40, are from Magma VDC-2.
"Three died on the accident spot and one died while being rushed to a nearby medical facility," said Bhatta.
The injured trio, Manbir Khatri, Hari Bahadur Khanal, and Dhan Bahadur Khanal, all from Magma VDC-6, have been airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment after going through preliminary treatment at Rukum District Hospital, Salla, informed Bhatta.
Based on the statements of the injured victims, the tractor had lost control while trying to give way to a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. "I remember the driver screaming at us to jump off seconds before the accident. Losing control, the tractor plunged 500 meters down the road section," said one of the injured.
Nepal police and locals both had worked hand in hand in rescuing the injured victims.
However, the tractor driver and the assistant driver are still at large, informed police.
