4.2-magnitude tremor felt after seven days

KATHMANDU, Sept 17: After the interval of seven days, a 4.2-magnitude aftershock was felt in the central region of Nepal on Wednesday night.

According to the National Seismological Center (NSC), Lainchaur, a mild tremor with 4 on the Richter scale was recorded at 8:37 pm with its epicenter in Dolakha yesterday.


Earlier, 4-magnitude tremor had been recorded on September 9.

As many as 394 numbers of aftershocks have been recorded following the Gorkha earthquake that devastated Nepal on April 25.
