4.1-aftershock jolts Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU, July 23: A fresh aftershock measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale has rocked Kathmandu Valley on Saturday.

According to National Seismological Center (NSC), Lainchaur, the tremor was recorded at 11:59 am with its epicenter in Gorkha.

As many as 465 aftershocks measuring 4 or above on the Richter scale have struck following the Gorkha earthquake that devastated Nepal on April 25, 2015.

A tremor measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale rocked the capital city Kathmandu on Friday. The tremor was felt at 2.40 pm with its epicenter around Kirtipur.

The official website of the NSC does not post the tremors below 4 on the Richter scale.
