Party revelers can ring in the year 2012 with celebrated singers from the neighboring country. Neeti Mohan – the lead vocalist of AR Rahman – and two Indian Idol 3 finalists: Deepali and Abhishek.
“These artistes are household names and are sure to charm the audience. If you’re looking for music, sumptuous food, free flowing drink and a good time, this is the event to attend,” shared Sony Chaudhary, Assistant Manager of Marketing and Public Relations, Soaltee Crowne Plaza.
One of the members of AASMA, the Channel V – Pop Star 2 winner, Mohan, gushed out her delight at being invited to perform in Kathmandu.
“It’s every singer’s dream to be a part of a mega event, and when it’s as special as ushering in a New Year, it’s bound to get exciting. I can’t wait to perform,” added the singer who has been performing with bigwigs like AR Rahman and Shankar Mahadevan.
The party at the Malhar Hall, decorated in shades of purple to a fusion theme of Venice and Bollywood, will commence at 8 pm.
Opening the show are the two Indian Idol 3 finalists who revealed their intention of serenading the crowd with hit Bollywood tunes.
“My first New Year’s Eve after Indian Idol was here in Kathmandu four years back. This is like a second home for me and I’m thrilled to be here with friends and fellow performer Abhishek,” shared Deepali.
The event ticket has been priced at Rs 7,999 per person and Rs 15,000 for a couple.
