Surendra C. Thakuri, associate director for sales and marketing at Hotel Yak and Yeti, said most bookings are from expatriates and there are encouraging number of enquiries from non-Christian community as well.
Hotel Yak and Yeti is offering three different packages - Christmas Eve Dinner on Saturday and Christmas Brunch on Sunday ranging from Rs 1,400 to Rs 2,500. "The package includes Christmas special buffet lunch and dinner along with a drink and musical performance," he added.
The Everest Hotel is offering Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Lunch at Rs 3,500 and Rs 1,500 respectively. Ashwini Acharya, senior sales and marketing director of the hotel, said they are targeting in-house guests as well as the local people. "The gala dinner comes with unlimited drinks and musical performance," Acharya said.
Similarly, Soaltee Crowne Plaza is offering three packages starting from Rs 1,300. Sony Chaudhary, assistant manager for marketing and public relations, said the buffet dinner including a glass of wine or a bottle of beer will be available for Rs 1,700 per person on Saturday.
Radisson Hotel has unveiled three different menus to mark the event, incorporating five-course Mediterranean dinner. "We will also offer X-mas Special - traditional festive foods from different regions," Karuna Manandhar, public relations executive of the hotel, said. The price of the dinner for vegetarian is Rs 2,500 and non-vegetarian is Rs 3,500 per person.
