“The parties who have demanded the prime minister´s resignation should first prove that they can garner support of 301 members in the 601-member parliament,” Pokharel told journalists in Nepalgunj. He claimed that the opposition parties would not succeed to secure support of 301 members in the House.
He termed President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav’s step of nullifying the government´s decision of sacking the army chief as an unconstitutional move. He said Maoists will “retaliate to it peacefully.”
