KATHMANDU, July 31: Due to heavy rainfall, the lives of people in Kathmandu have been impacted by floods in the rivers. According to Dan Bahadur Karki, spokesperson for Nepal Police, 12 people have been rescued from Kathmandu, while 24 people have been rescued from Lalitpur.
Of those rescued from Kathmandu, 11 were rescued from the Kuleshwar and Balkhu area and one person from the New Bus Park area.
Four people trapped in avalanche rescued
The areas Balkhu, vegetable market, Bafal, Dhobi Khola corridor, Sundari Ghat in Kathmandu were inundated. Additionally, a house was damaged due to a landslide that occurred in Nagpokhari of Futung, Kathmandu. The area around the new bus park and Miteri Bridge has also been inundated.
The rescued people included two people from the UN Park of Lalitpur, eight from Sundari Ghat, one from Balkumari Bridge, seven from Changathali, Mahalaxmi Municipality-8 and six from Ram Mandir of Mahalaxmi Municipality.
